about repair calibration modding
This website contains my notes about CRT repairs and some useful links about CRT calibration, repair and modding.
I have always been in love with those old monitors. I have started to learn by myself how things are working how to fix simple issues. I hope my notes will be useful for others as well. The knowledge starts to go away as most repair technicians no longer know how to work on old technology.
Why CRTs today ? Even if they are not produced anymore they are still relevant. For video games on consoles from the 80s and 90s, CRTs offer a more authentic experience as the games where designed to run on CRT TVs. Besides gaming they are quite still used by video artists and museums.
